ASTM F1163, verified by the Safety Equipment Institute (SEI).
Listed on the SEI Certified Product List as Tipperary DEVON, model 9800.
Also meets EN 1384:2023.
Canter & Crest lists helmets that carry a certification accepted for competition. USEF accepts ASTM F1163-04a 2011 or later verified by SEI, PAS 015:2011 or later, VG1 01.040 2014-12 or later certified through BSI or IC, and Snell 2016 or later. USPC accepts six: ASTM F1163-15 or F1163-23 with the SEI mark, Snell E2021, PAS 015-2011 with the BSI Kitemark, VG1 01.040 2014-12 with a BSI Kitemark or IC mark, EN 1384 with a BSI Kitemark or IC mark, and AS/NZS 3838 with the SAI Global mark. The two lists differ on editions and marks. EN 1384 is on the USPC list and is not on the USEF list. A helmet carrying several standards has been tested to several protocols. Testing is not a promise of protection. Confirm the current requirement for your division in your discipline's rulebook before you compete.
The Devon is Tipperary's wide-brim show helmet with Mips. It is offered in a UltraMatte velvety top for the hunter ring and in a black sparkle top with glossy black trim, both on a wide brim.

Mips is a rotational impact system, not a certification. It works alongside the certifications above rather than in place of them.

Replacement:
Replace this helmet after any fall in which your head makes contact, regardless of whether you can see damage, and otherwise on the manufacturer's stated replacement schedule. Do not buy a used helmet.
Why it is here:
A wide brim is a hunter-ring convention and it also keeps sun off the face, which is the version of the argument that holds up outside a rulebook. Two certifications and Mips underneath it are why it is in the collection.
