This is the outer garment only. The airbag is not included and is purchased separately. Worn on its own, this jacket provides no impact protection.
The Air Jump was Helite's first airbag-compatible show coat. Zipped over a Zip-In airbag it covers the neck, back, pelvis, chest, hips and internal organs; on its own it is a show coat. It is cut for competition in any discipline.
What is included, and what is not:
- Included: the Air Jump show jacket
- Not included: the Zip-In airbag, the CO2 cartridge, the lanyard and the saddle strap
Specifications:
- Outer garment only, no airbag included
- Compatible with Helite Zip-In airbags
- Satin bias and satin piping
- Slit at the back
- Heavy-duty seams
- Self-locking zipper
- Weight: 350 g
- Black
- Women's cut
Safety:
Only a jacket, vest or blouson carrying the Zip'In label works with a Helite airbag. Helite states that this label is sewn inside the garment rather than printed on a hang tag, so it can still be checked on a garment that has already been worn. An airbag worn under a garment without it will not sit correctly and will not inflate as intended.
What sets this one apart:
This is the outer garment on its own, a women's cut show coat finished with satin bias, satin piping and a slit at the back. The seams are heavy duty, the zipper is self-locking, and it is cut for competition in any discipline.
Why it is here:
Satin bias, satin piping and a back slit are show-coat details, not safety-apparel details. This is a competition jacket that happens to accept an airbag, which is the right order for a rider who has to look correct in the ring.
