A brush boot protects the inside of the leg from the opposite foot brushing against it, and the usual way to do that is to add material, which adds heat. These take the opposite route: the body is a 3D mesh, cushioning and quick-dry, and the vegan suede exterior is perforated throughout, so the boot passes air rather than sealing it against the leg. Protection is concentrated where it is needed instead of spread everywhere, with a reinforced strike area over the point of contact. Elastic hook and loop straps.

Sizing: these run generous.

AnatomEq states the brush boots are generously sized and advises sizing down if a horse falls between sizes, which is the opposite of the usual advice. Note also that XS and S carry two hook and loop straps while M, L and XL carry three.

To measure a boot you already own for comparison: height is the bottom edge to the top edge; width is the widest point with the boot laid flat.
