A 600 denier water repellent polyester canvas upper over a waterproof foot, lined in fleece, with a 3M Thinsulate insole for additional warmth and a lightweight TPR sole with a grippy non-skid tread. Thinsulate is the specification worth reading: it is a thin insulation that adds warmth without bulk, which is what lets a winter boot still fit a stirrup.
