Half chaps cut to look like a tall boot, with the zipper hidden at the inside back of the calf.
Zipper placement is the whole design. Set at the inside back rather than the outside, the closure disappears against the horse and the finished leg reads as a tall boot rather than as a boot and a chap. The topline is a high Spanish cut in reinforced leather, and a full-length elastic gusseted back panel takes the calf. Heavy duty zipper, top to bottom.
Specifications:
- Reinforced top quality leather
- High Spanish topline
- Heavy duty zipper at the inside back of the calf
- Full length elastic gusseted back panel
- Zips top to bottom
- Sizes X-Small through X Large
Fit:
Five sizes. Measure calf circumference at its widest and height from the floor to the bend of the knee, then check both against the chart below. A full-length gusset gives more range within a size than a partial panel does, but there is only one height in this model.

What sets this one apart:
The heavy duty zipper runs top to bottom at the inside back of the calf, where it sits against the horse and the finished leg reads as a tall boot rather than as a boot and a chap. Reinforced top quality leather carries a high Spanish topline. A full-length elastic gusseted back panel takes the calf through its whole height.
Why it is here:
The zipper placement. Set at the inside back of the calf, the closure sits against the horse and the finished leg reads as a tall boot rather than as a boot and a chap.
