A jumping saddle on a medium flap, with movable knee and thigh blocks.
Hazelnut printed leather over Bayflex panels on an adjustable medium tree. The blocks are the working detail: a Velcro triangle at the knee and a Velcro thigh block, both movable, so the saddle is set to the rider rather than the rider to the saddle. This is the standard flap cut, which makes it the starting point rather than a compromise.
Specifications:
- Hazelnut printed leather
- Adjustable XCH tree, medium
- Bayflex panels
- Velcro triangle knee block
- Velcro thigh block
- Medium flap
- Seat sizes 16.0 through 18.0
What sets this one apart:
A standard medium flap, neither lengthened nor moved forward, which is the cut for a leg of ordinary length off a normal jumping stirrup. Hazelnut printed leather over Bayflex panels on an adjustable medium tree, with a movable Velcro triangle knee block and thigh block, and seat sizes from 16.0 through 18.0. Measure against the flap being ridden in now rather than choosing from the seat size, because the seat number describes the seat and not the leg.
The adjustable tree:
This saddle is built on the XCH adjustable tree, which takes interchangeable gullet plates. A horse that changes shape across a season, or a rider working more than one horse, does not need a second saddle.
Why it is here:
The movable blocks. Fixed blocks decide where a rider's knee and thigh sit; Velcro blocks let the rider decide, which matters when stirrup length or position changes between horses or across a season.
