A diamond-quilted all-purpose pad in white, built on 15 mm foam.

The Diamond is built on a cotton shell over 15 mm foam with 300g fiber fill and a Coolmax lining, quilted in 1 1/2 in diamonds. Cotton is the side you see and wash. Coolmax is the layer against the horse, an engineered polyester with a channeled fiber cross-section that moves moisture along the fiber and out toward the surface rather than holding it against the back.

Fit:

One size, 22 in long with a 21 in drop, which is a full-size horse pad. The pad should clear the back of the saddle without sitting out onto the loin.

What sets this one apart:

A straight all-purpose cut on 15 mm foam, quilted in 1 1/2 in diamonds, 22 in along the spine with a 21 in drop. The foam is thick for an everyday quilted pad, and the cut is not shaped for a forward jumping flap, so it suits a dressage, close contact or general purpose saddle.

Why it is here:

15 mm of foam under the saddle. The trade is the cut: this pad is not shaped for a forward flap. Under a saddle that does not have one, that shaping is not wanted anyway, and the extra foam is.
