A fleece-lined web girth with a moisture-wicking Dry-Tex center and stainless roller buckles.

Two materials doing two jobs. The lining is fleece, which is what sits against the horse and spreads the pressure of a web girth; the center is Dry-Tex, which moves moisture out of the area under the girth rather than holding it there. The buckles are stainless steel rollers, so the billets run rather than drag when the girth is tightened, which matters on a horse that objects to being done up. Double elastic at both ends. It is cut to work with side reins.

Specifications:

  • Web girth with fleece lining
  • Dry-Tex moisture-wicking center
  • Stainless steel roller buckles
  • Double elastic at both ends
  • Designed to work with side reins
  • Brown
  • Sizes 34 in through 58 in

Care:

Machine wash in a protective bag, or hand wash. Line dry.

What sets this one apart:

A web girth lined in fleece, with a Dry-Tex center that moves moisture out from under the girth rather than holding it there. The buckles are stainless steel rollers, so the billets run rather than drag as the girth is tightened. Double elastic at both ends, and the cut allows side reins to be attached.

Why it is here:

Roller buckles. A girth is tightened while a horse holds its breath and again five minutes later, and buckles that roll rather than drag are the difference between doing that quietly and having a fight about it.
