The original Effol hoof ointment in green, a daily-care product the company has made for over a century.
The vaseline base forms a water and dirt repellent film over the hoof, which is what protects it from outside conditions. Used daily, hooves stay supple and are protected against brittleness. Effol states that the ointment promotes healthy hoof growth.
Specifications:
- 1 liter, 34 fl oz
- Green
- Contains vaseline, laurel oil and thymol
- Water and dirt repellent film
- For daily use
Application:
For external use. Always apply from the coronet downwards.
Repel or hydrate:
This ointment seals moisture out. A moisture-balance product does the opposite job, adding moisture to hooves that are worn down or hard. A horse in constant wet does not need the same product as a horse on dry ground.
Why it is here:
A hundred years is its own argument. A product that has stayed in the same formula that long has been tested by more horses than any trial could reach.
