An apple-flavored bit butter for the corners of the mouth, formulated for sensitive mouths.
Effol makes the Mouth-Butter to sit like a protective second skin on the corners of the mouth and to improve how the bit moves against them. Zinc oxide and balsam of Peru provide the care; allantoin keeps the corners soft and supple. Effol reports that riding quality improved in 75 percent of cases and that the apple flavor stimulated chewing activity in 87.5 percent.
Specifications:
- 150 ml, 5.1 fl oz
- Apple flavor
- Contains zinc oxide, balsam of Peru and allantoin
- Formulated for sensitive mouths
Application:
Apply generously to the corners of the mouth before and after riding. Applied to the bit itself, it improves acceptance.
Why it is here:
A horse that resents the bit is often telling you about the corners of its mouth rather than about the contact. This is the simplest thing to rule out before changing bits. Address the horse before the equipment.
