A weighted insole designed to train rider position and seat stability. Adding weight to the foot opens the hip angle, allowing the rider to absorb the horse's movement and lengthen the leg for a more stable lower leg and effective jumping or dressage position.
The Equisole is available in two sizes, Slim and Regular, made from hand-poured lead wired together so the insole moves with the rider's foot. Worn discreetly inside the boot, it provides a steady gravitational pull that helps a dressage rider achieve a longer, more relaxed leg and helps a jumping rider sink weight into the heels.
The weight builds muscle memory that carries over once the insole is removed. Riders who want additional weight can pair the Equisole with the Equisole EX for a combined pull of just over five pounds.
Use
Remove the boot's original insole and replace it with the Equisole. The insole may shift forward when the foot is inserted; shake the boot with the toe up to seat it properly. Most boots accommodate the insole without issue, though the fit may feel snug until the boot warms up. Riders with custom or tight-fitting boots should use the Slim version.
Long-distance walking in the Equisole is not recommended. Put the insole in immediately before mounting. Begin at the walk without stirrups to let the weight open and loosen the hip flexors, then progress to faster gaits as the rider adapts. Riders with tight hip flexors may want to limit early use to the walk, or ride with shorter stirrups to reduce stretch. Any pain beyond normal stretching should be evaluated by a physical therapist.

Product Safety and Materials
The Equisole is designed for use inside a boot and is intended to be worn with socks, which create a barrier between the insert and the skin during normal use. The weighted component contains lead. When used as intended, inside footwear, with socks, and with the lacquer coating intact, exposure is limited to none.
