A two-tone leather halter, white over black, with calfskin padding and a throat lash that unclips. Lead not included.

Two details separate this from a plain leather halter. The noseband and crownpiece are lined with soft calfskin, which is a finer, thinner hide than the shell leather and sits against the head where a halter rubs. And the round throat lash is removable, held by a snap rather than sewn in, so it can be taken off entirely or swapped without dismantling the halter. The chin is adjustable and the crown carries double buckles, so the fit is set at two points rather than one. Hardware is silver brass, polished and lacquered.

What the two tones actually are:

As pictured, the base leather is black and the contrast is a white overlay laid along the padded crownpiece and down the center of the noseband, stitched in white thread. The cheekpieces, throat lash and buckle straps stay black. So the color in the title is the overlay, not the body of the halter, and the Leather Color selector, offering Havana or Black, sets the leather underneath it.
