Leather is the right material for a halter a horse is turned out in, because leather breaks under load rather than holding, if the halter catches on a fence or a gate. This one is pre-conditioned, so it is supple on arrival, with a single buckle adjustable crown, an adjustable chin and a throat latch snap. Solid brass hardware rather than plated, which is what survives weather.
