A saddle set down on the floor or over a stall door takes its shape from whatever it is resting on.
This stand folds flat when it is empty and opens into a saddle bar with a wire shelf beneath it. The bar carries the saddle on its own frame rather than on a door edge or a trunk lid, so the panels are not pressed out of line while it sits. The shelf underneath takes the pad, the girth and the brushes, which is what otherwise ends up on the floor beside the stand. Folded, it stores flat against a wall or travels in a trailer.

Best for, and less suited to:
This is a single saddle stand. It suits the trailer, the wash stall, a lesson barn with no wall to spare, and the rider who cleans tack somewhere other than where it lives. A rider storing several saddles in one place is better served by fixed racks, because a folding stand holds one.
