This is the product for leather that needs bringing back rather than maintaining: it renovates dried or neglected leather and it protects new leather before it has a chance to dry out. The lanolin is the conditioning agent and the waterproofing is what keeps mud and water from being absorbed, which also makes dirt easier to remove afterward.
