Open front tendon boots in leather, with a removable foam lining and brass buckles.

Open front is a deliberate choice rather than a saving. The design leaves the front of the cannon exposed so the horse feels a rub against a pole, which is what discourages a careless front leg. Behind that, premium leather over dense foam takes the strike that actually matters: a hind foot catching a front tendon. Grewal states the leather molds to the shape of the leg with wear. Elastic in the straps sets the tension, and the foam lining detaches with hook and loop so it can be hosed and dried on its own.

What sets this one apart:

These are front boots, open across the front of the cannon so the horse feels a rub against a pole and learns to pick the front leg up. Behind that opening, premium leather over dense foam takes the strike that matters, a hind foot catching a front tendon. The lining detaches with hook and loop for hosing, the leather straps carry elastic to set tension, and a leather storage case is included.

Why it is here:

A removable lining and brass buckles. Boots that cannot be taken apart to dry are boots that hold sweat against skin, and a leather case in the box says the maker expects them to last long enough to be worth storing properly.
