Men’s Signature Crest Quarter-Zip

A heavyweight quarter-zip carrying the Signature crest, at 8.25 ounces per square yard.

A three-end fleece with a smooth cotton face and a brushed interior, so the outside holds its finish and the inside stays soft. Solid colors run 80 percent cotton and 20 percent recycled polyester. Heather Grey runs 70/30. The neck is a mock, the cuffs and waistband are ribbed, and the body is side-seamed with reinforced stitching.

Which quarter-zip:

Canter & Crest offers two weights of quarter-zip. This one is 8.25-ounce cotton fleece: a warm layer for cold mornings and winter barn work. The Women’s Signature and Heritage Crest Quarter-Zips are a 3.8-ounce polyester interlock, a wicking layer rather than a warm one. Choose by what the layer has to do, not by the crest.

Signature or Heritage:

The Signature crest is the emblem alone, understated. The Heritage Crest sets the crest with the name and the mark of origin, in the manner of traditional equestrian insignia. Same garment, different weight of statement.

Why it is here:

At 8.25 ounces this is a real layer rather than a promotional sweatshirt with a mark on it. The fabric weight, the brushed interior, and the ribbed cuffs and waistband were the reason for the selection.
