A 150 g stable blanket with faux sheepskin at the withers and a water-repellent outer.

One hundred and fifty grams is a medium fill, which puts this in a stable rather than out in weather, and the outer is water-repellent rather than waterproof. The polyester lining is chosen to avoid static, which is what stops a rug lifting a coat every time it comes off. Faux sheepskin sits at the withers, the one place a blanket rubs a horse that is otherwise well fitted. It fastens with a chest closure, two removable belly belts and a tail rope, and the quilting is diamond cut.

Specifications:

  • 150 g polyfill
  • Water-repellent outer
  • Anti-static polyester lining
  • Faux sheepskin at the withers
  • Chest closure, two removable belly belts, tail rope
  • Diamond quilting, white rope trim, silver embroidered logo on the left
  • Green and Navy
  • Sizes 145 and 155

Stable or turnout:

This is a stable rug. The outer is water-repellent, which sheds a shower in a barn aisle, and it is not built for standing out in weather.

What sets this one apart:

A 150 g medium fill with faux sheepskin fitted at the withers as standard. The lining is anti-static polyester, so the rug does not lift the coat as it comes off, and it fastens with a chest closure, two removable belly belts and a tail rope.

Why it is here:

Faux sheepskin at the withers, fitted as standard rather than sold as a separate pad. That is the point where a rug is most likely to rub.
