A padded leather halter in Havana, with a rolled throat latch and a grooming clip.

Grewal builds the Oakmont in luxuriously padded leather with a raised padded double buckle crown and a padded raised noseband. The throat latch is rolled and carries a grooming clip on the left side, so a horse can be cross-tied and the throat latch opened without the halter coming off. Leather is also the safest material for a halter a horse is left in: it is the one most likely to break under load if the halter catches on something, rather than holding and injuring the horse.
