A padded patent leather halter with a replaceable breakaway crown, built for the barn and the show ring both.
Grewal Equestrian makes this halter in top-grain leather with a raised, padded double-buckle crown and a padded raised noseband. The throat latch is rolled and carries a grooming clip on the left side. The crown is a replaceable breakaway, which is the detail that matters most on a halter: one that gives way under load is the difference between a broken halter and a hurt horse, and replaceable means the halter survives the event that saved the horse.
Specifications:
- Top-grain leather, patent finish
- Raised padded double-buckle crown
- Replaceable breakaway crown
- Padded raised noseband
- Adjustable noseband
- Rolled throat latch with grooming clip on the left side
- Full size only
Care:
Patent is a coated finish rather than a polished one. Wipe it clean. Do not polish it, because polish sits on top of the coating and dulls the shine that is the point of the halter.
What sets this one apart:
The crown is a replaceable breakaway, so it gives way under load and can be renewed afterward rather than leaving the halter scrap. Top-grain leather in a patent finish, with a raised padded double-buckle crown, a padded raised noseband that adjusts, and a rolled throat latch carrying a grooming clip on the left. Full size only.
Why it is here:
The breakaway crown. Padding and a patent finish are the reasons a halter looks like this one. A replaceable breakaway is the reason it belongs in a collection built around genuine consideration for the horse.
