A dressage bridle with a crank noseband, a contoured browband and a padded crown.
Grewal builds the Southport on supple top-grain black leather. The crown and noseband are padded and the browband is contoured rather than straight, so it follows the shape of the head instead of sitting flat across it. A crank noseband closes through a leveraged, padded mechanism rather than a plain buckle, which lets it be set precisely and evenly. A flash attachment is included. Stainless steel hardware. Leather reins with rein notches come with the bridle.

Fitting a crank noseband:
A crank can be closed far tighter than a plain buckle, and the mechanism makes that easy to do without noticing. It should be snug, not tight. Two fingers should slide flat between the noseband and the nasal bone. A crank done up hard restricts the jaw and does nothing a correctly fitted one does not.
Fit:
Standard bridle measurements vary by a quarter to a half inch, so measure the bridle currently in use rather than ordering by breed or height. Check the browband first: it is the one piece that cannot be let out.
A note on the options:
The Style selector offers one value, Stud. It refers to the stud hook fastening at the bit rather than to a choice; there is no alternative version.

A padded crown, a crank noseband and a browband contoured to follow the shape of the head rather than sit flat across it. The leather is supple top-grain black, the hardware is stainless steel with a stud hook fastening, and a flash attachment and leather reins with rein notches are included.
