A jumping saddle pad with its matched hand-knitted fly veil.

The pad is 100% polyester with a honeycomb cotton lining, cut thin and with a high wither line, which is the specification that keeps it off the spine on a horse with any prominence there. The quilting is cut to sit over a range of back shapes, and the sturdy shape is what holds it in place over a course.

The fly veil is hand-knitted at 68% viscose and 32% acrylic, in a cotton and elastane technical fabric, with breathable ears that keep insects off without trapping heat.

Specifications:

  • Saddle pad: 100% polyester, honeycomb cotton lining
  • High wither line
  • Quilting cut for a range of back shapes
  • Thin profile, jumping (CSO) cut
  • Fly veil: 68% viscose, 32% acrylic, hand-knitted
  • Breathable ears
  • Monogram and Black

What is included:

The saddle pad and the matching fly veil.

What sets this one apart:

A thin all-polyester pad with a high wither line, lined in honeycomb cotton and quilted to sit over a range of back shapes. The veil that comes with it is hand-knitted at 68% viscose and 32% acrylic, with breathable ears. Both pieces are cut in the Monogram print and in black, so they are bought matched.

Why it is here:

Buying the pad and the bonnet together is the only way to be certain the two match. Monogram in particular is a print, and a print bought twice in two seasons is a print bought in two dye lots.
