Summer is where a full seat breech usually stops being worth wearing.

The fabric is FITS Lite with 14 percent Lycra, a light hot weather cloth with enough elastane to hold gentle compression against the leg rather than hang on it. The silicone TechTread seat runs across the whole seat and is directional, so the grip holds in the plane the rider sits in and releases in the other. The athletic gusset is built without a seam at the point where the leg meets the saddle. The outer finish is smooth, so barn dust, hay and shavings brush off instead of holding.

Best for, and less suited to:

Grip runs across the whole seat, which suits flatwork, dressage schooling and long summer rides where a secure seat matters more than moving in the tack. A rider who shifts the seat deliberately over fences is better served by a knee patch, for the same reason.

Why it is here:

The gusset. A seam sitting exactly where the leg meets the saddle is the seam a rider feels at the end of a long summer ride, and building that panel without one is the harder way to make a breech.
