A windproof, waterproof winter riding glove with a touchscreen finger.
The ThermaFlex is built on a windproof soft shell over a Hipora waterproof membrane. A laminated membrane is what separates a genuinely waterproof glove from a water-resistant one: the barrier is bonded into the glove rather than sprayed onto the surface, so it survives washing. One finger carries SmartTap touchscreen material, so a phone works without pulling the glove off in the cold.
Specifications:
- Shell: ThermaFlex windproof soft shell
- Membrane: Hipora waterproof
- SmartTap touchscreen finger
- Color: Black
- Sizes: 7 in, 7.5 in, 8 in, 9 in
- Care: hand wash, line dry
Fit:
Sizes are given as hand measurements in inches. Measure around the palm at its widest point, excluding the thumb. There is no 8.5 in size, so a hand between 8 and 9 in should size up rather than down. A tight winter glove is a colder glove, because it compresses the air layer that does the insulating.
What sets this one apart:
A windproof soft shell over a laminated Hipora waterproof membrane, bonded into the glove rather than sprayed onto the surface, so the barrier survives washing. One finger carries SmartTap touchscreen material, so a phone works without pulling the glove off. This is a cold and wet weather glove, not a thin show glove, and it does not substitute for one.
Why it is here:
It names its membrane rather than making an unspecified waterproof claim. Hipora is laminated into the glove, and the windproof soft shell does the work instead of bulk.
