This is REDINGOTE's core winter garment. A breathable waterproof shell with fully taped seams over a quilted lining carrying 60 grams of insulation, built as one piece so there is no gap at the waist for wind to find. The hood is the part that separates riding outerwear from ordinary outerwear: oversized to go over a riding helmet, zip-off when it is not wanted, and the helmet visor flips backward and holds on a magnet to convert it to a standard hood. A double storm flap closes on magnets rather than snaps. Leg zips let it pull on over boots. Armpit zips vent it. Interior backpack straps hold the top up when the sleeves come off.
