An insulated jumpsuit with a herringbone waterproof shell, a thigh pocket for a phone and a back waist cinch.

The shell is herringbone rather than plain, which is a woven texture rather than a coating. There is a thigh pocket sized for a phone. And an elastic cinch at the back waist shapes the garment, which a jumpsuit otherwise cannot do. The hood adjusts at three points rather than on cords. The rest of the build: a breathable waterproof shell with fully taped seams, a quilted lining with 60 grams of insulation, an oversized hood that fits over a riding helmet with a visor that flips back on a magnet, leg zips, a double magnetic storm flap, armpit zips, a hip D-ring for spurs and interior backpack straps.

Specifications:

  • Breathable herringbone waterproof shell with fully taped seams
  • Quilted lining with 60 grams of insulation
  • Oversized hood with three adjustment points, fits over a riding helmet
  • Helmet visor flips back and secures on a magnet
  • Thigh pocket sized for a phone
  • Back waist elastic cinch
  • Leg zips for pulling on over boots
  • Double storm flap secured by magnets
  • Armpit zips for ventilation
  • D-ring at the hip for spurs
  • Interior backpack straps hold the top up when the sleeves are off
  • Caviar
  • Sizes XXS through XXL in Regular and Short inseams

What sets this one apart:

A herringbone woven waterproof shell rather than a plain one, a thigh pocket sized for a phone, and an elastic cinch at the back waist that shapes a garment cut loose enough to layer over riding clothes. The hood adjusts at three points rather than on cords, and the insulation is 60 grams.

Why it is here:

A back waist cinch on a jumpsuit. A one-piece garment sized to layer over riding clothes is by definition loose through the body, and a cinch is the only way to make it read as fitted rather than as a coverall.
